Water Stop

It is an acrylic copolymer resin based, water based, single component, ready-to-use, elastic, waterproofing material which is easily applicable on all kinds of surfaces.
Areas Of Use
— It can be safely used in structures of concrete, plaster, brick, tile, aerated concrete, brick, corrugated or non-corrugated asbestos roofing plates, wood and terraces as well as in all vertical and horizontal surfaces in buildings, window sills, coronas, pools, cisterns, water tanks, pipes, etc.
Properties
— It can be applied in two ways; as dry or as a mortar composed when it is mixed with sufficient amount of water.
— It can stop water leakages very quickly.
— It is ready for use.
— It does not contain chloride and it does not damage the reinforcement.
Surface Preparation
— Any kind of nasty, dirty etc. preventing from the adhesion to the surfaces where the product is to be applied, shall be cleaned off. When necessary, pressurized water and soapy warm water should be used. The application area must be dry, clean and free of moisture. The terraces and the surfaces where the product is to be applied must have a slope not allowing the accumulation of water.
Preparing The Mortar
—Priming coat application; After the necessary surface preparation is completed, it should be applied onto the surface by thinning with water in a proportion of 100 %, with a brush or a roller.
Intermediate layer application; After the application of the liner, it is applied in the such as the bottom of the chimneys, joints of horizontal and vertical structures, the cracks or critical points that might crack in the future without thing with water through a brush or a roller as a single strip layer.
Normal layer application; The applications of 2nd and 3rd layers should be made without thinning with water. There should be a period of at least 24 hours between the application of each layer and each layer should be applied 90 ° perpendicular onto the previous application. The application surfaces should be protected from rain, frost, pedestrian and vehicle traffic at least 48 hours.
Adhesive Preparation And Application
— It can painted only with water-based paint having the same elasticity structure. In concrete curtain walls, the application must be protected of soil and rock embankment, construction excavations. (Such as walling, laying of sand bags, juxtaposition of hard polystyrene foam etc.) In water tanks, swimming pools and cisterns, wet areas (WC, shower), terrace roofs; the last layer should be sanded for roughening before the application on the surface dries and the application should be coated. (Tiles, ceramic, etc.) The closed areas, the water should be filled in 10 days after to allow full drying. It should be applied on the side of structure which could be exposed to positive water pressure or intake moisture.
Thinning
It is thinned 100% for primer coating. Do not thin with water for the intermediate and final layers.
Consumption
— Quantity for 2 mm thickness; 2-4 kg/lt
Caution
— In order to provide the performance and required resistance, all surfaces of application must be protected through screed, ceramic or similar finishes against external influences.
— You should wear gloves during the application. In case of contact of the product with eyes and skin, it should be washed with plenty of water.
