Surface Preparation
— The surface should be clean, neat and solid
— Thick Repair Mortar must be applied min. 24 hours ago prior to Newkim Cemend-Based Two-Component Semi
— Flexible Waterproof Mortar for major holes and breaks in the surface or with an appropiate Repair Mortar in cases where rapid application or sulfate resistance is requested. Very porous surfaces such as gross concrete cement-based plaster should be damped with clean water so that the surface remains wet and it should be waited until the layer of water disappears.
Preparing The Mortar
— Pour down 20 kg. of dry components into 6 kg. of liquid cmoponents slowly for each layer and mix until a homogeneous mixture is achieved with a low speed mixer for 2-3 minutes.
— Let the mixture settle for 2 minutes and mix again before starting the application.
— Newkim Cement-Based Two-Component Semi Flexible Waterproof Mortar should be applied minimum 2 times on the entire surface using a trowel or a brush. Each coat applicatino should be performed in perpendicular direction to the previous one.
— Wait at least 6 hours between coats.
Adhesive Preparation And Application
— Cement-based plaster and screeds, concrete can be applied on gross cement. Please consult us for all other surfaces.
— The number of layers that can be applied are 2-3 layers. Pot life of the mortar 3 hours maximum. The time required to wait between coats is a minimum of 6 hours.
— The time required to wait for the application of ceramic is a minimum 3 days. Mechanical endurance time is 3 days.
— Time to become impermeable is a minimum time of 7 days and complete drying time is minimum of 48 hours.— It cannot be applied on wood, chipboard, plywood and metal surfaces. It cannot be applied against negative water pressure.
Consumption
— 2 mm thickness from 2 to 4 kg/m²
Caution
— It should not be applied on frozen or melting surfaces or surfaces with the risk of freezing within 24 hours.— The mixture should be prepared only with the original fluid, water never should be added.
— It is recommended to make the application between a temperature range of +5°C / +35°C.
Packaging
In 20 kg.craft bags and 6 kg. plastic jerry cans.
Shelf Life
It can be stored for 12 months on palettes provided that they are stacked tenfold in moisture-free spaces without being unpacked.
