Double Component Super Elastic Waterproof Mortar

A double-component super elastic cement based waterproof mortar, used in the direction of water inflow on concrete, partition and cement based surfaces against percolation and surface waters.
Areas Of Use
— In all kinds of construction, foundation and retaining walls, wet areas such as balconies, bathrooms, restrooms, and kitchens.
— In terraces (providing that their surfaces are protected), swimming pools and reservoirs,
— As waterproof material under tiles.
Properties

— Provides watertightness under screed and tile owing to its high adhesive capacity and elasticity.
Surface Preparation
— Application surface must be freed from antistick agents such as dust, oil, dye detergent, dirt etc.
— Surface defects must be removed with Newkim Repair Mortars before application.
— Chamfering must be applied in connection points of sharp corners and structure elements.
— The surface must be moistened and water-logged before application.
Preparing The Mortar
— First B liquid component is placed in a bucket. Then entire material in the bag with powder component is added and mixed for 4-5 minutes uninterruptedly.
— Mixed material is steeped for 5 minutes and applied after it is mixed again until all air bubles disappear.— Applied with brushes on the concrete surface in at least two layers.
— Material is firstly applied heavily with brushes (1st. layer) The 2nd and 3rd layers are applied on each other vertically to reach the desired thickness and smoothness.
— Must be cured within 24-48 hours after application.
— Cares must be taken to protect the surface from sunlight, rain and frost during and after application for at least 3 days.
— Grounds for walking must be covered with decorative coatings such as screed, tile, ceramic, glazed tile etc. in 3 days after application.
Consumption
— 3-4 kg/m²
Caution
— No foreign element must be added to prepared mortars.
— No re-use of mortars with expired operation time with adding water.
— No application in areas frozen and exposed to sunlight for a long time.
— It is recommended to make the application between a temperature range of +5°C / +35°C.
Packaging
In 20 kg.craft bags and 10 kg. plastic jerry cans.
Shelf Life
— Stered packaged in moisture-free environments for 12 month. Unwrapped packages must be corked tightly.
— Liquid component must be protected from freezing.
