Basic Elastomeric Waterproofing

Product Description
Acrylic based, flexible, UV resistant new generation waterproofing material, specially formulated to make curtain concretes water impermeable.
Usage Areas
- On all vertical and horizontal floors,
- Concrete, plaster, brick, tile, aerated concrete, briquette, where water and humidity impermeability are required.
- On basement and curtain wall tanking,
- Basement floor, foundation insulation, (positive direction)
- In the dilation of the surface junctions,
- At the joints of pipes and crackings of plaster,
- In the repair of wall cracks on foundation.
Surface Preparation
- Clean any dirty, smudgy floor which prevents product adhesion on the surface to be applied.
- Where necessary, it should be cleaned with pressurized water.
- The surface to be applied must be dry and clean without moisture.
-The foundations and surfaces to be installed must have a slope not to pond.
- The mold errors should be corrected with Newkim Repair Mortar 1 day in advance.
- Relics like iron, nail etc. on the surface, must be shaved. Otherwise the consumption may increase.
Application
- Paint base application; After the required surface preparation is completed, it must be applied to the surfaceby roller.
- Base coat application; After the primer coat application, it will be applied to the concrete bases, in horizontal, vertical joints, cracks or critical points which may possibly crack in the future, without being diluted with water at all with a brush or roller.
- After application, meshapplication takes place. After the meshis applied, apply a thin coat with roller. Leave it to dry. (Mesh to be used must be the Newkim Brand White colour mesh.)
Normal coat application ; Application should be done to cover the pores of the filament.
At least 24 hours of delay between coats is expected, and the application coat should have a 90 degreevertical direction to the previously applied coat.
- The surfaces must be protected from rain, freezing, pedestrian and vehicle traffic for at least 48 hours.
Application Details
To Reinforced concrete walls; The construction should be protected from construction excavation, soil and rock fill. (Walling, sand bag pilling, polystyrene foam setting, etc.)
Thinning
Ready to use. Do not apply thinning!
