Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive

It is a high performance, cement based polymer additive, flexible, high-stability adhesive mixture specifically designed for composite thermal insulation systems with TS EN 13499 ETICS certification.

Areas Of Use

— Interior and exterior areas. — Used for adhesive bonding of thermal insulation boards (expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS), rockwool, polyurethane board, etc.)

Preparation of the Mixture

— 25 kg. of Newkim Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive Bonding mixture is mixed with around 6-7 lt. of clear water preferably with a low-rotation mixer or a trowel until there is no lump. — Prepared mixture is left to stand for around 3-5 mm. so that agening occurs and then applied after being stirred.The mixture within the pot should be used within 2 hours.

— 4-5 kg/m² (depending on the application method)

Information Regarding Application

According to the smoothness of the appication surface; — Whole Surface Bonding Method;Apply Newkim Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive bonding mixture on the whole surface of the insulation board by means of a trowel or an appropriate notched trowel. — Strip And Point Application Method;Apply the thermal insulation board adhesive bonding mixture as stripes at the edges of the thermal insulation board and as points in its middle sections by means of a trowel. — A screed must be used during adhesive bonding of boards. — A good level of bonding should be ensured by pressing hardly on boards that are bonded with Newkim Thermal Insulation Board Adhesive Bonding mixture and should also be fixed with dowels in a mechanical way 24 hours later.

Caution

Avoid using the product at templatures under +5°C or over +35°CAvoid using frozen products and those that are under the risk of freezing within 24 hours as well as in areas that are directly subjected to sun and wind.

Packaging

In 25 kg. kraft bags.

Shelf Life

It can be stored for 12 months on palettes provided that they are stacked tenfold in moisture-free spaces without being unpacked.
