Mineral Wool Board Plaster Mortar

A flexible high performance fiber-reinforced cement based mortar used in mineral wool board plastering.
Area Of Usage
— Used for indoor and outdoor white coat on mineral wool board.
Advantages
— Easily applied. Provides perfect adhesion.
— Water and frosh resistant.- Not affected by temperature changes.
— Flexible- Provides high stability, no sagging and craking
— Allows water vapor diffusion- Suitable for direct painting on it.
Surface Preparation
— Application surface must be solid and freed from antistick agents such as dust, oil, dye, silicon, curing agent detergent etc.
— Boards to be plastered must be solid and fitted properly and voids must be filled with scum or similar material.
Mortar Preparation
— 25 Kg Newkim Material Wool Plaster Mortar (Fiber Reinforced) is added to approximately 6-7 liters of water mixed preferably with low speed mixer or trowel withlumps disappearing.
— Prepared mortar is left for 3-5 minutes for maturing and used after remixing.
— Mortar in pot must be consumed within 2 hours.
Application İnformation
— First layer of plastering with thickness of approximately 2mm applied on the boardswith trowel in at least 24 hours after insulating board plugging.- Synthetic glass
— fiber mesh is embedded in mortar tamping down and streching while the applied mortar is still wet. The surface is moistened in approximatey 6 hours and mesh is covered with the second layer of mortar (in thickness of 2mm) and is made ready for painting.
— Mesh is overlapped for 10 cm in junctions to prevent cracking.- 2-3 days are needed for painting depending on weather conditions and application thickness.
— In case if weather temperature is high after application is completed, moisten the surface until it is set.
Consumption
4-5 kg/m² (It my change depending on application method)
Warnings
— Avoid application when temperature is below +5°C and above +35°.
— Avoid application in frozen areas or with risk of freezing or open to direct sunligh and wind effects.
— Fit insulating boards with as little voids as possible to prevent heat transfer.
— Be sure not to boards solarized for a long time and lost its properties.
