Product Presentation
It is a white, cement based, single component powder mixture that is used for porcelain and ceramic adhesive bonding and that is manufactured in compliance with TS EN 12004 C1
Areas Of Use
— Interior areas— Horizontal and vertical surfaces— Used for adhesive bonding of small and medium dimension-floor and wall ceramics of which water absorption rate is over 3%— Used for coating materials with a maximum dimensions of 33x33 cm.
Advantages
— Easy to apply— Economical— No hanging in vertical applications.
Preparation of the Surface
— Ensure that no curing agent is left on the application surface.— Application surface must be free from such materials preventing the bonding as dust, paint, silicon, curing agent, detergent, etc.— If the surface is exceedingly absorptive, no application should be made after priming.
Preparation of the Mixture
— 25 kg. Newkim Porcelain and Ceramic Adhesive Bonding mixture is mixed with around 6-7 lt. of clear water preferably with a low-rotation mixer or a trowel until there is no lump.—Prepared mixture is left to stand for around 5-10 mm. so that ageing occurs and than applied after being stirred.— The mixture within the pot should be used within 1,5 to 2 hours.
Information Regarding Application
— First of all, a contact layer is formed by strongly pressing the adhesive mixture on the application surface and later the product is combed with a notched trowel selected in accordance with the size of tiles.— It should be ensured that the adhesive mixture contacts with at least 80% of the bacside of ceramics.— Carry out the bonding by applying force with a rubber hammer in order to provide a good level of bonding.
Consumption
— 3-5 kg/m² ( Varies depending on the application method)
Caution
— Avoid using the product at temperatures under +5°C or over +35°C.— Avoid using frozen products and those that are under the risk freezin within 24 hours as well as in areas that are drectly subjected to sun and wind.— Do not add powder or water to expride products.
