It is a white (other colours also upon request) joint sealant with superior characteristics that is formed as a mixture of a super quality, hydraulically bound special fill and inorganic pigments. It complies with TS EN 13888 standard, CG1 class.
Areas of usage
— Interior areas- Used as sealant for joints up to 1-6 mm of ceramic, porcelain and similar coating materials.
Surface Preparation
— Ensure that ceramics are strongly bonded so as not to move during application and thus that the adhesive is completely dry.
— All kinds of dust, dirt, chips, construction or cement debris in joints of uncoated surfaces need to be thoroughly cleaned with a stick or a brush.
— Cleaned spaces need to be dampened with a wet sponge.
Mortar preparation
— 20 kg. of Newkim Joint Sealant (1-6) is mixed with around 5.5-6.5 lt. of clear water preferably with a low-rotation mixer or a trowel until there is no lump.
— Prepared dense joint sealand is left to stand for around 5-10 mn. so that ageing occurs and then applied afterbeing stirred.
— The mixture within the pot should be used within 1 hour.
Application information
— Joint sealant must be filled in joints with a hard rubber edged squeegee or a hard rubber based joint spreader trowel. In order to fill the spaces completely, first a parallel spreading and then a cross spreading should be carried out.
— Residuary mixture on the surface must be scraped with a dampened soft edged spatula and 15 to 30 mm. Later according to the ambient temperature, salient thin joint layer on the surface must be thoroughly cleaned with a wet sponge.
— The product dries on walls within 24 hours while it is possible to walk on it 48 hours after being applied on the ground and within 7 days, it is possible to let pedestrian traffic pass on it.
Consumption

Warnings
— Avoid using the product at temperatures under +5°C or over +35°C- Avoid using 24 hours as well as in areas that are directly subjected to sun and wind. Ensure that there is no snowfall or excessive cold following the application until that the cement setles. (About 1 week)
— Do not add powder or water to expired mixtures.
— Ensure that no hydrochloric acid.
Packaging
In 20 kg. kraft bags as well as in 5 kg. and 1 kg-PE bags.
Shelf Life
It can be stred for 6 months on palettes provided that they are stacked tenfold in moisture-free spaces without being unpacked.
