Areas of usage
It is used for Marking the road lines, Asphalt surfaces, Painting paving stones,
Parking area marks. If to be used on concrete surfaces, the concrete must be cast at least a month earlier.
To use on concrete surfaces, the surface should be roughened with notching and itmust absolutely be applied with airless spraying.
Advantages
- High sticking power.
- Quick to dry, resistant to friction.
- No color change.
Details of Application
- Before applying the Newsan Road Line Paint, the surface area must be cleansed ofmaterials like stone chips, dirt, dust etc.
- The surface must be totally dry.
- Before painting the paving stones, any broken stones should be repaired, missingparts should be fixed.
- While marking the road lines, the paint should no be applied on loose ground oreroded aggregated surfaces.
- It should be applied to clean and dry asphalt surface, under environmental circumstances without rain or breeze, the temperature of the asphalt should be15℃ minimum and the relative humidity should be 50% maximum.
- The product should not be exposed to pedestrian or vehicle traffic before harddrying (55 minutes at 25℃).
- If glass beads are to be used, the beads should be added immediately after theapplication of the painting so that it can reflect any light from any source with acorrect degree and thus increase road security during the night.
- When the material is applied for the first time, the glass beads are not visible. The glass beads appear after a while with the erosion caused by traffic. With time theyserve as reflectors and the road lines become radiant.
- Radiant surfaces should be roughened up before application. For ideal surfaceperformance, glass beads should be added to the product and the application mustbe done with airless systems.
- It is recommended to use type 319 with the airless systems, and to shoot at 13o-140bars. Also, it is recommended to test first andprogress accordingly.
- During application and until the products are fully dry, the setting and the surfacetemperature should be between +5℃ and +30℃.
Duration of Drying
“Touching” drying is over in approximately 15 minutes.Final drying (for exposure to traffic) is approximately 55 minutes.(The duration can be longer under higher relative humidity and lower temperature.)
Thinning
Should be thinned with industrial thinner or road line thinner.Thinning ratio is 5-7%.
Consumption
Depending on the type, absorptance and structure of the surface, for the thickness of 550 microns of dry film sheets, 600-700 gr/m 2 area can be painted.
Flash point
<23C
Package
20-3 kg, tin box.
Storage
- Can be stored with package in a cool and dry place.
- Avoid direct contact withsunlight.
- To store the remaining product in the box, thinner should be added until the surfaceof the paint is totally covered or the lid of th
